Academics:
At Sans Souci Academy, we believe young children learn through play! The classroom will have centers (such as House, Block, and Art Center, etc.) which provides learning opportunities for social experiences, imaginative play and fosters creativity. The students will have daily opportunity for gross motor play on the playground or gym activities. Small Groups will be a time when Math and Literacy is the focus, but activities will be presented in an age appropriate and fun, exciting way.

An example of the units we will study:

  1. My School and Me
  2. Fall Harvest
  3. Family
  4. Community Helpers
  5. Transportation
  6. Changing and Growing

Units schedule and topics may vary in the case that students may show a deeper interest in a more specific topic during the school year. There will be a few field trips and/or activities planned to coordinate with the units. We are a Faith based Academy and our small and large groups will also integrate Christian values into the activities.

One of the most important things we will be focusing on this school year is the social/emotional goals such as sharing, taking turns, and cooperatively playing. Once children have mastered most social/emotional, age-appropriate goals, then they are able to really focus on academic success whether that’s now or later.

We can't wait to partner with you to help your child grow!
